Noor-e-Islam does not require user registration or account creation.
- No Personal Data: We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- Local Preferences Only: Data such as your selected prayer district, digital tasbih count, and bookmarked Quranic ayahs/duas are stored locally on your device storage (SharedPreferences / IndexedDB) and never uploaded.
2. Permissions and How They Are Used
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Used strictly to display offline notifications for five daily prayer times and Azan reminders as scheduled by the user.
- INTERNET: Used to stream high-quality Quran recitation audio (from EveryAyah), fetch certified Quran text (AlQuran Cloud), load Makkah & Madinah 24/7 Live feeds, and query OpenStreetMap for Mosque locations.
3. Children's and Family Privacy
Our app is fully suitable for individuals of all ages, including children and families. We strictly comply with Google Play's Families Policy. We do not collect personal information from children under 13.
4. Third-Party Services
The app interacts with reliable public endpoints solely for content delivery:
- Al-Quran Cloud API: For authentic Uthmani Quranic verses and translations.
- EveryAyah CDN: For verified Quranic recitation audio files.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: For nearby mosque discovery.
5. Security of Your Data
Since all your user settings and devotional trackers are stored on your local device, you retain 100% control over your data. Clearing app cache/data or uninstalling the app permanently removes this local data.

By downloading or using Noor-e-Islam, you agree to use the application for peaceful, lawful religious and educational purposes. The Quranic verses, Hadith collections, and Islamic content are provided free of charge for personal devotion.
